How time flies!
January 5 marks the first anniversary of the greatest scoring game by a high school player in Philippine basketball history!
On January 5, 2011, Xavier School’s Jeron Teng scored a mind-boggling 104 points in Xavier School’s 164-74 shellacking of Grace Christian College in a Metro Manila Tiong Lian Basketball Association (MMTLBA) game at the Jacinto Tiu Court inside the Xavier School campus.

Unbeaten Xavier School (7-0) blasted St. Jude Catholic School, 106-52, and Chiang Kai Shek College (6-1) downed St. Stephen’s High School, 83-78, to arrange a best-of-three Finals showdown in the Aspirants Division of the 41st Metro Manila Tiong Lian Basketball Association tournament.
Jefferson Tan scored 28 points and Tyler Tio added 20 to lead Xavier School to victory.

- Xavier School is looking for an 11th straight trip to the Juniors Division Finals to equal the all-time Tiong Lian record for the most consecutive championship-series appearances established by Chiang Kai Shek College from 1985 to 1995.
- St. Jude Catholic School rejoined the Tiong Lian in 2006. Since the time, it has lost 11 straight games (1-2006, 1-2007, 1-2008, 3-2009, 3-2010, 2-2011) to Xavier School.
