AAXS Tuition Free

A Corporate Social Responsibility Project

Among the main objectives of AAXS Pres. Kelly Salvador’s administration are to be able to give back to our teachers and help our fellow alumni. As such, Dr. Salvador made medical assistance one of his priority projects and launched the AAXS Medical Assistance Program (MAP) mid-2007. He also wanted to emphasize on education as the key to a bright future (remember the old adage of “teaching someone how to fish rather than just giving him fish?)

With these two criteria in mind, the AAXS recently launched the TUITION FREE Raffle Project to raise funds for these programs. AAXS MAP aims to provide “reasonable financial assistance” to those alumni and Xavier faculty and staff undergoing medical treatment. The program has already provided aid to five active and former Xavier School employees.

The Fr. Papilla College Scholarship Fund, on the other hand, provides tuition fee subsidy to Xavier alumni in their pursuit of a college degree. To date, the program has supported over 20 Xaverians in their tertiary education. Some of them have even come back to Xavier School to become mentors as a sense of gratitude to the program.

The Tuition Free Raffle draw will be held on 16 April 2008 at the AAXS Board Room in Xavier School. First prize is “free tuition” to Xavier School for SY 2008 – 2009. The grand prize is transferable, and maybe resold but must be applied for SY 2008 – 2009 tuition fee. There will also be other exciting minor prizes. Tickets are reasonably priced at P500 each.

The AAXS is appealing to the different alumni batches to support this endeavor, as this will benefit the alumni community directly. For your ticket orders or inquiries, please call the AAXS Office at 7264855 / 7273329 or email tuitionfree@aaxs.com.
