This is further highlighted with the Beijing Olympics in China this year, which shall commence on the supposed ultra-lucky day and time of August 8, 2008 at 8:08 PM.
Tuition Free tickets are available in four illuminating colors, with 4 different Chinese characters conveying wishful meanings. The Lime Green ticket has an inverted Chinese Foo / Fu character which denotes Good Luck. The Gold ticket has the Chinese Loo / Lu character which invokes Prosperity. The Violet ticket has the Chinese Rseo / Shou character to imply Longevity. The Red ticket has the Shuang Xi (or two Shee) character to symbolize Happiness (multiplied by two).
